UQ RUGBY FOUNDATION PLEDGE

Managing the operations of a community Rugby club is a challenging proposition – particularly financially. Nothing is forever and everything is constantly changing. That is why the University of Queensland Rugby Union Foundation Trust (Foundation) – a charitable trust – was established in 1994, to provide financial support to The University of Queensland (UQ), to further the sport of Rugby Union football at UQ. With funds under management of over $3 million, the Foundation is currently in a NextGen growth phase and needs the support of everyone associated with the Red Heavies.

OUR MISSION

The Foundation’s mission is to build up the perpetual fund, the earnings of which will enhance its students’ general health, welfare and community participation through playing the sport of Rugby Union Football at UQ.

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

The Foundation is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). Contributions are invested with a long-term view and an objective of distributing no less than 4% of its net assets annually. These funds are of vital importance to the operations of the Club. Donors to the Foundation receive a tax deduction for their donations.

INVEST IN OUR FUTURE

To be a part of our NextGen Foundation Program, there is a minimum contribution of $1,000 per year for three years which is a 100% tax deductible donation to the Foundation.
